What color is most reflective of you?
I still am just stunned that by popular choice, my government is full of thieves and murderers.

How did you get the idea for your livejournal name?
But I'm starting to not feel it like sandpaper to the skin when someone says, "Buck up, lefties!"

What time were you born?
I'm getting used to biting my tongue.

What song are you playing now, or wish you were playing?
The closet's not so bad. I know how to conceal my rage. I'm a natural.

Has the death of a celebrity ever made you cry?
You don't say, "Buck up!" if you're a gay public-school teacher, or if you're married to one.

What color underwear are you wearing?
You don't say it if you're working in an abortion clinic, or sitting in its waiting room.

Do you want a baby?
You don't say it if you have a 19-year-old son.

What does your mom do for a living?
But it's not just about hating and fearing the Republicans in power.

What does your dad do for a living?
It's knowing that this is how my neighbors want it.

What is your pet's name?
Am I safe to go to church? I can't prove that I'm a true believer,

What color are your bedsheets?
But I do know what the Sermon on the Mount said.

What are the last 3 digits of your phone number?
I am 43 years old.

What was the last concert you attended?
I have three children, all semi-adult.

Who was with you?
When I was a little girl, I took it for granted that when I grew up, I could visit Africa if I wanted.

What was the last movie you saw?
I learned French in grade school. I could go to France if I wanted. Every night we saw soldiers being blown up on the news.

Who do you dislike most at this moment?
Some folks moved to Canada even if they weren't about to be sent to Vietnam.

What food are you craving right now?
Now it looks like even travel within the US is going to be problematic.

Did you dream last night?
Good thing my kids are White, eh? Obviously I grew up blinded by privilege, but I still believed in the march of progress.

What was the last tv show you watched?
I used to think the people of the US would rise up for fairness and civil rights.

What is your fave piece of jewelry?
It turns out they're not so much into that.

What is to the left of you?
They're more into metal detectors at schoolhouse doors and kids on Death Row.

What was the last thing you ate?
They believe their hard times are their own individual fault and if they could only

Who is your best friend of the opposite sex?
get on some TV contest, their life would turn around.

Write a song lyric that's in your head?
They are morally certain they'll never get AIDS, they'll never have a disabled child,

What song is that from?
they'll never go to prison, they'll never get caught doing what they have found they have to do

Who last IMed you?
to get by.

Where is your signifigant other right now?
They'll sacrifice anyone whose example indicates otherwise. Their hit list is getting longer and longer

Do you have a crush?
because their hard times are getting harder and harder. They live next door.

What shampoo do you use?
They're running the cash register. They keep the medical records at the hospital.

When was the last time you cut your hair?
They're scheduling your gall-bladder surgery.

Are you on any meds?
They teach Psychology.

Do you have a mental disorder?
We are so fucked.

What shirt are you wearing?
Now I'm feeling what to do when somebody tells me, "Buck up, lefty!"

What time is it?
Head down. Feign a smile. Monitor my breath; breathe evenly; betray nothing.

What color is your razor?
The closet's not so bad, once you get used to it.

What is your fave frozen treat?
And no matter what they tell you, antidepressants DO mix with alcohol.

Are you sexy?
I have been having this series of dreams.

Whats your favorite store?
They always take place in a big kaleidoscopic setting that's like the Mayo Clinic complex,

Are you thirsty?
an elaborate network of escalators and subways and promenades lined with little shops

Can you imagine yourself ever getting married?
all featuring different diseases and traumas and disabilities. No matter what I'm doing,
that's where I end up doing it,

and there's something

for everyone.

Wow. That's pretty searing spiritual expectoration to be hidden away in a livejournal survey cut-tag. I would be afraid to see what you write on your grocery lists :)

Cold comfort I guess

But I voted. I watched the news. I figured Kerry was better than 4 years of this crap. I also do data entry for medical claims at a company contracted by Medicare B. I am so not looking forward to how many claims get rejected because of new regulations brought on by the 'ownership society' (PWN3D society?).

You're not the only one trying to keep your head down.

having just read 4 of these surveys, most of which attempted to answer trite questions in a clever manner, i came to this one.

it's better than all of them, and answers all the questions perfectly. it's really difficult to talk about what color best describes you when everything is going to hell in a handbasket.

Well written!
I am following it up with the 7 o'clock News/Silent Night Lyrics
Artist(Band):Simon and Garfunkel

This is the early evening edition of the news.
The recent fight in the House of Representatives was over the open housing
section of the Civil Rights Bill.
Brought traditional enemies together but it left the defenders of the
measure without the votes of their strongest supporters.
President Johnson originally proposed an outright ban covering discrimination
by everyone for every type of housing but it had no chance from the start
and everyone in Congress knew it.
A compromise was painfully worked out in the House Judiciary Committee.
In Los Angeles today comedian Lenny Bruce died of what was believed to be an
overdoes of narcotics.
Bruce was 42 years old.
Dr. Martin Luther King says he does not intend to cancel plans for an open
housing march Sunday into the Chicago suburb of Cicero.
Cook County Sheriff Richard Ogleby asked King to call off the march and the
police in Cicero said they would ask the National Guard to be called out
if it is held.
King, now in Atlanta, Georgia, plans to return to Chicago Tuesday.
In Chicago Richard Speck, accused murderer of nine student nurses, was brought
before a grand jury today for indictment.
The nurses were found stabbed an strangled in their Chicago apartment.
In Washington the atmosphere was tense today as a special subcommittee of the
House Committee on Un-American activities continued its probe into anti-
Viet nam war protests.
Demonstrators were forcibly evicted from the hearings when they began chanting
anti-war slogans.
Former Vice-President Richard Nixon says that unless there is a substantial
increase in the present war effort in Viet nam, the U.S. should look forward
to five more years of war.
In a speech before the Convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in New York,
Nixon also said opposition to the war in this country is the greatest single
weapon working against the U.S.
That's the 7 o'clock edition of the news,
Goodnight.

Silent night
Holy night
All is calm
All is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.

Because of the fact that they're everywhere, that they're right next door, that they're idiotic and spoon-fed every fabricated fucked idea they have... I want out. I don't want them to be my neighbors. I don't want them choosing which of my civil rights to abolish today. I don't want them chaining me down. Bucking up is not the option. Saving yourself and going somewhere else where you can make a difference and you can live your life at least more freely is the option.

If you think everyone who doesn't agree with you is idiotic and spoonfed, then I don't want to live next door to *you,* either.

Thank you very much for posting this. (I found it through [info]ladytabitha.) After a skim of some of your earlier stuff (anybody who illustrates her posts with Krazy Kat cartoons is OK in my book) I've added you, despite how unmanageable my friends page is getting.

Amazingly enough this is how most conversations between the left and the right procede.

One side asks questions and the other ingores them and keeps on ranting.
